Gene Capatina
Co-Owner and Co-Founder

As co-owners and founders of SunGlo Disaster Restoration Specialists, Gene and Pat possess 80+ years of combined experience in all facets of disaster restoration services. After completing thousands of claims that range from small residential to large commercial loses, they have become industry leaders in managing restoration/construction projects, estimating, insurance coverage, and exceptional customer service.

 

Between Pat and Gene, they have the following restoration industry certifications:

AMRT - Applied Microbial Remediation Technician, ASD - Applied

Structural Drying Technician, FSRT - Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician, HST - Health & Safety Technician, OCT - Odor Control Technician, RRT - Carpet Repair & Reinstallation Technician, UFT - Upholstery & Fabric Cleaning Technician, and WRT - Water Damage Restoration Technician, lICRC Advanced Certification in SR - Journeyman Fire & Smoke and a State of Michigan Builders License

A. Anthony (Tony) Bifano
President and CEO

Tony joined SunGlo Disaster Restoration Specialists in 2021 as President and CEO.  Tony brings 36 years of business experience focused on Insurance, Technology, and Finance.  Throughout his career he has mastered the use of technology to improve business processes and drive operational efficiencies leading to improved customer and employee satisfaction,  and corporate profitability.

 

Tony holds dual bachelor degrees in Management and Computer Information Systems from Ferris State University and an MBA in International Business from Wayne State University.

Anthony Capatina
Project Delivery Director

Anthony joined SunGlo Disaster Restoration Specialists full time in 2021, and has been immersed in the industry and family business since birth. He has invested significant time performing various foundational roles (Water Mitigation Tech, Carpenter, Contents Tech, Business Development Manager, etc.) at SunGlo and E.R.S. developing a comprehensive understanding of the restoration industry. As the Project Delivery Director he is responsible for standardizing the project delivery processes across SunGlo and directing the day to day responsibilities of the Project Delivery function. 

 

Anthony graduated from the University of Michigan where he received his bachelor’s degree and was a member of the football team earning Academic All-Big Ten honors.

Nicole (Nikki) Thomas
Vice President of Finance

As the Vice President of Finance, Nikki Thomas is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, which includes managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Corporate Cash Flow, Financial Reporting, Commission Processing, and Financial Controls. Her 16 years of industry and financial experience has been instrumental in leading and constantly evolving our Finance and Accounting organization. 


Nikki graduated from Schoolcraft College with a degree in Accounting, where she was named to the Dean's List and awarded Business Honors for her academic achievements.

Steve Duffy
Director of Field Operations

Steve Duffy is an experienced business leader with extensive knowledge in sales, customer service, finance, process engineering, and operations management.  He previously owned and operated his own company for 17 years and later held various director positions for an international automotive supplier. 

 

With a combination of C-Level and Engineering experiences, Steve is enabling SunGlo to provide the highest quality of technical restoration services possible to our customers.  As the Director of the Field Operations organization, Steve is responsible for directing the Contents, Water Mitigation, Carpentry, and Facilities departments. He obtained a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Maritime College (New York) in Marine and Nuclear Engineering.

Kristin Gibbs
Human Resources Manager

As the manager of Human Resources, Kristin is responsible for our outsourced HR support services, as well as recruiting, training, payroll, and benefits administration.  Throughout her 20 years with SunGlo Disaster Restoration Specialists, she has continually expanded her responsibilities establishing a solid hands on foundation as manager of our Human Resource function. 

 

Kristin studied Business Management and has been awarded certifications through the Society of Human Resources (SHRM).

Harold Drews
SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Harold began with SunGlo in 2002 and has over 40+ years in the insurance industry. His excellence in relationship building and attention to detail has led to Harold being instrumental in SunGlo’s overall growth and reach as a company. He works closely with the insurance carriers, TPAs, and our associated networks to facilitate continued business opportunities.
